Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

A felony on my CBI, how can I get it off. I was unaware

I applied for a job and they couldn't hire me because they said I had a felony. I went to the city & county of Denver and they gave me a signed and noted paper saying I do not and never had any felonys in CO. Then I ran a report (CBI) online. It is on there. I was arrested for a traffic, in which I had a warrant in another county for D.V I therefore went to court for the D.V Never was I told anything about charges for fraud. What actions or step can I do? This is holding a very good job with the airlines.

thank you AnnMari

You can seal the record if you were never convicted. If you were charged with a felony, the record may show an unresolved felony. A charge without a disposition may be misread by some as a conviction. You can get it off through trecord sealing (takes a couple months). For immediate relief, an attorney can contact the potential employer to explain the situation. This has worked in the past. I contact the employer, fax over a letter and a copy of the motion to seal. I let them know that their is an error and that it is in the process of being resolved. This may wotk.
