felony dropped to misdemeanor

I was arrested for a fellony, Dispo: dismessed by court after 1 yr deferred sentence probation. Was my charged dropped to a misdemeanor or is it still a fellony.

Unless you pleaded to a deferred misdemeanor count, successful completion of a deferred felony does not lessen the charge to a misdemeanor. You may, however, be able to seal the record such that it does not hurt future employment opportunities.

That magic of reducing felonies to misdemeanors does not happen in the state of Colorado. HOWEVER, if the conviction were deferred, the charge could be reduced from a felony to nothing. So that's better than a reduction to a misdemeanor. Next, you should be able to SEAL the record. That is something you should do.
