Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Felony Menacing

I am being charged with felony menacing after I got into an argument with my wife while holding a knife. I did not intend to cause her to fear for her life and I did not think that she would. She filed a police report 3 days after the incident, just to document what had happened in the event that something else happened at a later time that it could be on file. At that time I was arrested. From this explanation, what do you think the outcome of my case could be?

Conviction for any felony could put you in prison for more than a year. Get a lawyer.

Hard to say without knowing more what the final outcome will be, but a felony conviction can be very bad to have on your record. You need an attorney to help you minimize the consequences. Good luck.
