Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I have a felony warrant for FTA out of Greeley,Co it is 18 years old. I live in Ne. and Co refusses extradition, but there is still an active warrant so I can be arrested until Co refuses the extradition. I am on SSI for colon cancer survivor. What should I do?

One way would be to contact the DA's office in Greeley and ask them to close the case and cancel the warrant. If this is not a serious felony (high dollars or injuring a person), there is a chance they would agree not to prosecute and cancel the warrant.
You could also ask the Chief Judge of Greeley courts to cancel the warrant. (very doubtful)
Use the explanation you gave here. It is a long shot, but it may work. On the other hand, it may get you extradited to Colorado. If the case is that old, there is a good change that whatever proof there was against you is no longer available.
Good luck.
