Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I have a felony warrant from around 5 years ago because I failed to show up to an probation appointment. Out of fear I left the state but now I'm back . It was a felony assualt. My question is if I get picked up will the keep me in jail for years or will they let me bail out and restart the probation.

Worst case... you go to dmv to register your car. DMV finds the outstanding warrant, has you arrested. Then you are looking at ten years in prison, not jail. Maybe longer. Best case... we get the case on the docket voluntarily. You walk into the courtroom a free man. The judge revokes and re-grants probation, you walk out of the courthouse a free man. The best case takes some work, but I have gotten that result.
