Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

My fiance' is on state parole, June this yr. he finished doing 180 day's violation for hot ua's. He definately has a drug problem

He has missed 3 ua's all ready. Is there something or someone that can help him get into rehab or put on intensive supervised parole ? Something other than just going back on another violation?

Some of the answer to your question will depend on what jurisdiction you are in. Assuming from your zip code the answer is "Colorado," there isn't much the parole board or his parole officer can, or most importantly, will, do beyond simply regressing him over and over.

There are a couple of therapeutic communities he can try to get his parole transferred to, but realistically, he's on his own to find a facility or program to address his issue.

Try the facility locator at: http://findtreatment.samhsa.gov/. You can search for treatment options by location and services needed.

I don't see how ISP will help him. It will only get him regressed FASTER. He will get regressed continually, until his statutory discharge date. Rehab is something the Court might try if he was on probation. Since he is on parole, the Court no longer has jurisdiction over him. The bureaucrats at DOC and parole now have control over him. His parole officer could try to get him into treatment, if the PO is of the mind to do that. However, the individual parolee has to actually WANT treatment.
