Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Can I file a motion for dismissal on a criminal matter via de internet in Jefferson County Colorado?and how long does it take for the judge to make a ruling? And of I send a motion for dismissal to the courts do I need to send a copy to the DA as well?

Just mail it to the court. The address is on-line at the colorado supreme court website. The court probably will not rule on it without a phone call to the court asking them to rule on it. DA will get a copy from the court, but you should send a copy to them as a courtesy.

Electronic filing is not yet allowed in criminal cases. The motion must be printed, signed and then mailed. You should also mail a copy to the DA. If you fail to do that originally, there will be a long delay before the Court acts.
