How to file for a Pardon?
For my sone, I need to find a very effective way to file for a state pardon by the Governor. Are there instructions or samples of this kind of document or fiing? Do I need an attorney to file for a pardon for my son?

Re: How to file for a Pardon?
Generally, the governor's office requires that the prisoner have served at least 10 years of the sentence before it will consider a pardon. There's nothing in the law that requires that an application for pardon be filed by an attorney.
You can get more information about the process, and have an application mailed to you, by calling the governor's office. He's in the book.
Good luck; I mean it, I have a son of my own.
