Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
After filing a police report for breaking and entering and theft how long do I have to press charges on the guilty person in the state of Colorado?

You can't except in a couple of very limited circumstances, unless you are talking about suing them for civil theft and property damage.
Once you report the crime, it is otherwise up to law enforcement and/or the local DA's office to decide whether or not to charge someone.
