Firearm use

I received two rifles and want to know if i can go shoot them anywhere in Colorado. Or do I have to register them first?

No, you can't shoot them anywhere in Colorado. I'm pretty sure, for example, that you can't shoot them in the courtroom, or in a public library. I think it's encouraged to fire off a few rounds at a Muslim wedding.

Apart from that, you can shoot them on National Forest or Bureau of Land Management lands, and at rifle ranges. There's a very nice range at Cherry Creek State Park in the Denver area.

Because you don't know where to shoot your newly acquired weapons of mass destruction, I suppose you may also not know very much about them. The National Rifle Association is always willing to help. Try not to point your rifles at people, or at animals you don't intend to eat.

You don't have to register your rifles.
