Firearms in the same house as an Ex-felon

I currently own a condo and live with an ex-felon that has completed their period of parole and probation. During the time of parole, I kept my numerous firearms stored at another location, as having them in the house was a violation of parole. Although my roommate is no longer able to own firearms, would he be culpable for any firearms that I own and that I would store at my home?

Your roommate not only is prohibited from "owning" a gun, he is prohibited from "possessing" one. Possession means anything within arm's reach. So yeah, he could be arrested for possession, assuming police had a legal warrant to enter your home. If he is living with you, then it is also his home, and he could raise a defense related to that, but it would not guarantee an acquittal.

You may want to ask yourself a different question, though: do you want to keep "numerous firearms" within arm's reach of an ex-felon, particularly if there is any issue of alcohol or drug use, or mental impairment?
