Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
My friend was arrested a week ago. I am having a very difficult time finding out exactly what he was arrested for. I know some charges are from one of my roommates friends. I talked to him and he said that he would drop the charges. Now I need to find out how to drop the charges but I am having a very difficult time finding out how. So far I have found that we should call the court and arrange a meeting with who ever we need to talk to for this. We should bring everyone that was there at the time. Then we tell them why his charges should be dismissed. Is there paperwork that needs to be done or am I completely off?

Once charges get filed, the decision whether or not to drop the charges rests with the DA. That is whom you need to speak or meet with. No, there is not specific paperwork.
