Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

My friend served 4 years for a drug crime back in 2004. He got 3 years probation and has been violated twice . Each time he got 8 months and 3 years probation. Last month, his PO violated him again. She says she wants end his probation since its obviously not working. He's in trouble for dirty uas...no new crime. Should i trust her when she told me that she's not going to recommend much more than he got on his last violation, and does the judge usually go along with the PO? He's in Colorado.

You have no reason to either trust, or distrust. And frankly, it makes little difference whether or not you do.

Most judges routinely follow the PO's recommendations right down the line. But not always. At times, judges go above, and below a PO's recommendation. Your friend neeeds to ask these questions of his attorney, as well as work on the answer to the judge's question of why the judge should not just impose a DOC sentence on someone who obviously fails to get the message.
