Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I have a very good friend that has recently gotten an MIP. He was on probation last year for being caught with dry ice bombs. I believe he got off of probation in October of 2009. I was wondering if because of this recent MIP he will get kicked out of the University of Colorado. I know that it is up to the College, but with that kind of record, what would most colleges do?

The CU student handbook has information about dismissal, suspension and probation for various crimes. It is available on-line.
In my experience, the second charge can result in dismissal, but it is usually probation or suspension. Your friend is on thin ice and needs to stop getting arrested. I suspect this case will result in probation bc it is not a second alcohol charge.
