harassment
my husband was cheating on me. via e-mail i told the woman to stay away or '' i'd take them both down''. do i need a lawyer?

By saying you would "take them both down" you likely were referring to financial impairment (which is legal) and not some physical threat (which may not be).

Your more immediate need may be a psychologist; you won't need a lawyer unless you are charged with something (unlikely because you made no immediate threat), or actually do take either or both of them down.
On the other hand, perhaps you were referring to the need for a divorce lawyer.
