Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Higher Court?

I have a pending charge in Jefferson County, Co. The crime did not occur there nor did any part of the crime. It was filed there by the same detective 19 years ago. I was set up by an informant and arrested twice in 1 week for on drug charges(16 ozs) each time. I was then deported and have been trying to get the matter moved to Denver County where the actual crime occurred and I was arrested. I have written to the judge and the DA in this matter over the last 2 years asking them to let me know why these charges are being prosecuted in their county. They refuse to answer my letters. I have asked for a copy of the Motion for Discovery because I do not have an attorney in this matter and no one will represent me because I cannot travel to the US due to my immigration status. The only person who can obtain a copy of the Motion is myself or my attorney which I can't get. Denver County dropped their charges 6 years ago. Is there any way I can get the DA or Judge to show me on what legal grounds I am being prosecuted in Jeffco? They have not been receptive or helpful in answering my letters and the case continues. I turned myself in 5 years ago to immigration they sent me to SD jail & I waived extradition and then returned to Mexico.

Re: Higher Court?

Due process is lacking if you are not brought to court on this. As you have been deported, this prosecution cannot go forward.
