Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I am being investigated for theft of personal property that was abandoned in my car, I left the property unattended at the outdoor location where the owner had walked away from the car leaving his belongings. The police want to question me, should I return their call?

If you are under investigation, you should never make a statement to law enforcement. You can either ignore the call or politely decline to make a statement.
