Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I am under investigation for identity theft and use of a credit card that isnt mine. The investigator told me over the phone today that if I come talk to her, she will not arrest me and will give me a court date. If I don't come talk to her, she will issue a warrant and have me arrested in front of my kids. I told her I would come in on Wednesday to talk to her. Is that the right thing to do, and should I admit anything?

No. Do not go to the investigator without talking to an attorney. When you get an attorney, THEY can talk to the investigator for you. There is no reason to think that you will not be arrested while you are there.
