Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Juror dishonesty
I recently found out that a juror from my friend's trial does not live in the same county that the offense supposedly took place. It's my understanding that a juror MUST reside in the same county as the offense or they are disqualified.
Is the juror's residence discrepancy enough to get the verdict thrown out?

Re: Juror dishonesty
Juror issues are some of the best. I think this is a good one. The problem that I see is the correct geographical area from which a juror for this case may be picked. Some judicial districts contain many counties and so a felony case juror comes from any of these. A misdemeanor case may require in-county juror. But, if juror not from correct geographical area, I think you are in good shape.
