Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Want justice for what he did to me as a teenager...

Ten years ago, when I was 15/16, shortly after the Columbine shooting, I got involved with a guy that I met online. Long story short, he moved in with my family and for the next three years he proceeded to molest me, only leaving when my aunt threatened to call the cops on him.

It's been almost seven years since he left, and I am left with PTSD both from the shooting and from the molestation. At first I just wanted to forget about it and move on, but now I can't help but wonder if some other girl fell in love with him and he's doing the same thing to her. I know that he moved in back with his mom, who lives in Mississippi, and to my knowledge he's still in that same town that he moved back to.

All I have for evidence is other people's word. There's no physical evidence as there was never any penetration of any kind, plus the fact it's been almost seven years since it ended. But I don't want him to just walk free like he never did anything wrong.

I guess what I'm asking is, do I have any legal recourse? I know the statute of limitations for molestation in Colorado is ten years.

I do not know if you have recourse (as per criminal charges), but I do know that you are talking to the wrong group. You have happened upon criminal DEFENSE attorneys. You want prosecution, not defense. Call the district attorney in the judicial district where the action ocurred. The folks at that office may be able to help you.
