Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

no knock raids

cops did a no knock raid on apt. no one was home, now they are trying to charge person with a deadly weapon charge, 28 years, their word the gun was there , we say it wasn't , how can we fight this, also, cops keep threatening him and saying they have a lot of charges for him if he doesn't like this one, is this legal?

The lawyer's answer is going to be about the same as the cop's: you have the right to an attorney; if you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you.

Hire a lawyer. If you are indigent, contact the public defender's office and you will be given a free lawyer.

It is hard to say if it is legal or not at this time without seeing the search warrant. As a general rule, searches without a warrant are illegal and no knock warrants are special and need a special warrant.
