Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I got a laptop to repair it.we agreed to be $75. when the laptop was ready, the costumer didn't had money to pay for it. I waited for 5 months and he never paid for the services. I sent him a written notice stating to him to pay only $20. for the repairs.within that week or I would sale the laptop to recover expences. another month passed and he failed to pay.therefore I eventually sold the laptop.when he found out..he reported to police that I sold his laptop and I got charged with theft..how is that possible? what can I do? I am to return to court on 6 December please help
