Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
hello i need to know what the law is for writing a ticket....my bnrother got a ticket for theft from a merchant and was cited on that two days after they claim the intial incident happened to which they did not stop him or anything just assumed he stole, there was nothing found on his person however was issued a ticket for theft from merchant and that was two days later. dont they have to stop you that day and write the ticket that day? wheres the proof that he stole?

Right, "where's the proof?". There is no requirement that a summons to court be issued at a certain time. However, as more time passes, the proof against an individual evaporates. Motion the court to dismss. If no dismissal, take it to trial.
