Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Do I need a lawyer
I was summoned to answer to an information charging me with 2 counts of attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or deceit. Should I have a lawyer for that or should I wait and see what happens at that court date.

Yes you do. You should never go to court without an attorney, especially where you are facing felony charges and a possible prison sentence. One mistake at any stage of the proceedings can have a very negative effect on your case. Good luck.
Re: Do I need a lawyer
You have time to hire an attorney. The earlier you retain an attorney, the more an attorney will be able to do for you. I would at least speak to an attorney and determine the timing for hiring.

If you wait and see what happens at the court date, chances are very good that you will see you should have contacted a lawyer even before you asked this question.
Good luck.
