Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Letter to Judge
My son is currently awaiting sentencing in a criminal trial in Colorado. I was wondering if I could write the judge in his trial a letter before his sentencing date. Not a bad letter.

Re: Letter to Judge
The better way may be to have your son's attorney give the letter to the Judge at Sentencing. Any letter to the Judge will probably be sent to the Prosecution and the defense counsel.
Re: Letter to Judge
As always, I agree with Mr. Huttner. Contact your son's attorney as to the best way to help your son at sentencing. If you cannot get the attorney by telephone, send or fax your letter of support to the attorney's office. The reason for this is to coordinate sentencing efforts so that you do not undermine the attorney's sentencing argument/plan inadvertently. I know that is not your intention.
