Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Letter from past emplyer

Received a letter from a past emplyer, certified, asking me to return certain items, of which were returned 8 months ago, after my termination. What do I do? I have no proof that I dropped the items off. No one was there, I left a note on top of the items and left, never heard anything from them until now, 8 months later.

Re: Letter from past emplyer

Hello:

Your question is not really a legal question, but more of a question regarding how to stay out of trouble. I do not know the answer. If you do nothing, then the employer may let it drop or it may proceed forward with action. If you contact the employer and provide them the information you listed, the employer may in some way use that information against you. I cannot answer for you which option will be best. Feel free to call me without charge if you need further information. David Colt 303-321-6872.
