Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I live in Missouri and I am on probation for a Demestic Violance Tresspassing Felony class 4. The probation was transfered from Colorado in 2010 and i'm due to be off in less than a month. I got arrested on a probaton revocation out of Colorado for not paying the fine 580$. They are threatening me with an extradition and i'm out on a 50,000$ bail. I am not guilty of the charge but pled guilty just to get it done and over with. Is there a way that i can get out of the extradition and pay the fine and just be done with it. The tresspassing is a differed from a burglary.

Was the arrest in Colorado or Missouri? The revocation may have started as a failure to pay a cost, a fee, or a fine. While it may have started as a simple failure to pay, it has probably mushroomed into something else. You can try to avoid the extradition through a resolution of the original offense, but this is not a simple case. The fact of bail is curious as well. I think any lawyer is going to need much more information before they can plot a solution. I know I do.
