Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Ok so a loved one is on parole his parole officer was not cool at all. He let him move from pueblo co to Penrose co cause he had absolutely no where to live at. He tried getting his parole transfer to canon city but his parole officer would not. Well he messed up a few times did some jail time an his parole officer told him he don't care if hes living under a bridge as long as he's in pueblo county he will be fine. Knowing he has no where to live. An he asked again about a transfer but he said no not til he shows improvements. But how is he suppose to improve in the living situation he put him in. Finally he just said screw it. Oh he was on GPS ankle monitoring also. But he didn't cut it off. He got out of jail on a Saturday so the place was closed he couldn't get it on til Monday. He just never got it back on. Now there trying to charge him with 18-8-208. Is all of that legal.

Did you notice when you wrote your story that the parole officer started out much more tolerant and then your loved one "messed up a few times" and the parole officer didn't want to cut him any slack any more? That is the way parole works. When he keeps screwing up his life keeps getting harder and harder. It is only going to get worse if his loved ones don't help him stay compliant with all of the requirements of his parole. If he cannot do that, he is headed back to prison.
