Me and a couple of friends got MIP tickets for drinking at a club. What is the best way to go about handling this situation

If it's your first offense, you may be offered a diversion program, with no criminal record, or a deferred sentence, which means if you meet the conditions of the deferred, your case will be dismissed at the end of (usually) nine months.
For the future, the best way to handle an MIP is to turn 21.
