Re: misdemeaners
There are 3 levels of misdemeanors in Colorado. Class 1 is the highest and class 3 is the lowest. Below that you drop to petty offenses. A class 2 misdemeanor carries, technically, 3 to 12 months in the county jail (worst case scenario)but in reality there is not mandatory 3 months. You often can get no jail or a suspended sentence upon a conviction. You can also receive a $250 to $1000 dollar fine plus court costs (in Colorado Springs they are roughly $150). A misdemeanor is different than a felony in several ways, most significantly that any incarceration is in a county jail, not in a prison and does not include any parole upon release. Also, if a person is looking for a job, the potential employer is only legally allowed to ask if the applicant has any felony convictions, not misdemeanors. They do remain on your record forever. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Sentence range is 3-12 months, but no jail likely. The punishment depends on alot of things, ie whether the DA needs to treat this severely or not. More info needed.
