Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
misdemeanor warrant
I have been incarcerated for 2 yrs and have an outstanding warrant in another city. The city was notified 2yrs age when I was incarcerated. Is there a time frame which the town with the warrant would have to extradite me and advise me of the charges?

Re: misdemeanor warrant
If your conviction and the warrant are in different states, the uniform code on detainers would apply. If conviction and warrant are in the same state, state law would apply. I do not have the unifirm code in front of me, so I am not giving you actual advice. However, it is almost always better to attack the new warrant while you are still in custody on an older case.
