What is the difference between Minor Intra familial Sexual Abuse and Medium Intra familial Sexual Abuse?

legally, very little, if anything

the charge is likely the same

the sentencing range is likely the same

-- in colorado, any touching of the area near the intimate parts, clothed or unclothed, can be sexual assault - there is no difference in charges for penetration versus touching outside the clothes

-- did this phrase come from a police officer investigating a potential crime? did the officer suggest that it is different or less serious in the minor case? if so, s/he is just fishing for a confession or incriminating statement, but not telling the truth

having an attorney early in these cases can be the difference in winning and going to prison for the rest of your life (in colorado, sex assault is a life sentence)

Are those even Colorado statutes? I agree with Mr. Savela, the statements may be a way for the police to get you to admit something.
