Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
In October, I posted an ad on Craiglist asking if anyone wanted to get high. A man replied. I met up with him for drinks, dinner, and to get high. Yesterday, his wife emailed me saying she had found my chats with her husband through forensic analysis she had done on his hard drive after he went to Jail a month ago (for violating a restraining order). She stated that she would give the evidence to the District Attorney's office and I can "give a statement proactively, or be subpoenaed to testify". She also said, "He's going to prison and he won't hesitate to take you down with him." What should I do?

You should not give a statement to anyone, especially law enforcement. That will NOT help you avoid criminal charges. You should also stop posting any details of your transaction online.
Whatever you did or didn't do is already done and no statement you make now is going to help you. If you are charged with a crime, you need to contact a bail bondsman and a criminal defense attorney.
