Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
online trade
A few days ago I traded Ipod touch for and xbox 360. in the emails he stated that the xbox worked fine but when I got it home it did not. I tried to email him many times but I just emails back from yahoo saying that the email didn't exist. my dad is a police officer and said that the police might not be able to help me. Should I call the police? and will taking him to court cost me more than just buying a new ipod?

Re: online trade
If you used an online site to do the trade, like eBay or something, you could contact the administrators of the site and report the guy's behavior. They might have access to his real location.
"Taking him to court" implies you can find out where he lives. If you can do that, I'd suggest instead a polite visit from your police officer dad.
Good luck.
