Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I was ordered to pay over $4,000.00 in restitution in a criminal case from 1986. Recently my wages were garnish to statisfy this order even though my sentence was discharged over 15 years ago. Is the state subject to any kind of statute of limitation in this collection or by discharging the sentence was the restitution order also discharged?

It was likely converted to a civil restitution order that has no statute of limitations. But, you could hire someone to check and fight it.
