Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

parole revocation for conviction that occured prior to 1993

I was granted parole in 1996. For 12 months i met every condition of parole. In 1997 I absconded to Florida. When I was found and returned to the state of Colorado, my parole was revoked to the very day that I received it. In essence they took away the 12 months that I did prior to my absconding. They did give me the Earn time for these 12 months. I would like to know if there is any way that I can get this time back.

When you violate parole [by leaving the jurisdiction without permission] you forfeit all rights you may have had to time-served credits. Ordinarily the original sentence will be imposed without deduction for the partial parole service. Parole time does not qualify as "good time".

I know of no way to get credit for the one year you served if it was brought up at your sentencing for PV. You have the right to petition the trial judge for credits within up to one year after disposition of the PV charge.
