Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
parole violation
does the state have the right to charge someone who violated parole or is it DOC,who originally has custody? how is it possible to have a parole sentence longer than the original sentence/

The offense that supports a violation of Parole should be prosecuted by the People. The actual violation of parole may be internal DOC.
