Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Penalty for 3rd degree assault
I have been charge with 3rd degree assault (domestic violence) 3 weeks ago. This may 1st offence in twenty year of marriage; I have no other criminal history. My question is: what is the penalty for this crime best and worst case and do I need a lawyer?

Re: Penalty for 3rd degree assault
Possible penalty is 2 years jail and $5000.00 fine. Depending on the injury and jurisdiction, a jail sentence may be possilbe. I would consult with an attorney. I do these types of cases.
