Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Probation Monthly Report
I am a juvenile and am currently on probation at the Boulder Court. If I answer ''yes'' to the question ''Have you consumed any alcohol in the past thirty days?'' on my monthly report will it violate my probation, or will they just be like ''Dont let it happen again.'' or something like that?

Re: Probation Monthly Report
I think you should assume that if you had a drink in the past 30 days, and you truthfully answer that question, the authorities will violate your probation. Do NOT believe for a second that they will just be like "Don't let it happen again."
That might, however, be a pledge you make to yourself, if you choose not to answer truthfully.
Good luck, and don't be too hard on yourself if you make a choice a saint wouldn't make.
Re: Probation Monthly Report
consuming alcohol will violate your probation - it is a crime and likely a condition of probation
if probation is violated, they can revoke or they can do something else - often they keep that violation of probation in the file until they want to revoke you for some other reason that they may not be able to prove.
I would not report it if you do not want your probation revoked.
