Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

probation revocation

4 months away from my 3 year probation ending stemming from a felony 4 offense in '01, I got a DWAI. Two days after my probation ended they pt a warrant out for my arrest and I turned myself in. What can I do now? Is there any chance since it was almost over to avoid jail. I am getting married in august and her parents have payed a lot of non refundable money and don't want to go to jail.

Re: probation revocation

If you were charged with the DWAI and it has not yet resulted in conviction, a variety of your rights have been infringed.

If a conviction has already happened, why didn't you deal with the felony probation issue then?

If you just acted by yourself with the blind hope that your probation would not be affected, you really need counsel. You should be more worried about prison than jail, but it is possible to resolve this without incarceration in either IF you did alot of other things right. Get counsel.
