Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
probation violation
a friend was living in Colorado and was on probation for domestic violence, was susposed to finish anger management and pay fines. He ended up moving to another state and never finished. I am sure that he now has a warrant in Colorado, but he has worked very hard and has a good life in another state, and just had a baby. What would be the best way to get the warrant taken care of and could he get it transferred to another state at this time? Would he has to serve jail time?

Re: probation violation
There are several factors that play into the answer. I need to see the "probation order" and ask what conditions the friend was close to completing. Further, how long ago was the order issued, how long ago did he leave? I do many probation violations, but need more info.
