rape and assault

Exhusbands girlfriend filed rape and assault charges on him a week ago and he has still not been arrested or questioned. What could the holdup be?

maybe they are investigating prior to discussing with him - no matter what, his best idea is not to talk with police - BTW - the police may try to set up a recorded call to him by her to get him to make an admission - if he wants to help himself, he needs to get a lawyer, not talk to her, and not talk to police
