Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

why i was realesed without a court hearing?

I do not understant why i was realesed after arrest for posession of a controled 2 substance with charges pending and no court date. the officers said they would give it to the detectives and they would be in touch after investigating it further. i guess my question is what are they investigating and how long could all this take?

it happens - a warrant will be issued for your arrest at some point (most likely) - once there is a warrant, they can arrest you next time they see you and search you - could be at your home if you open the door or walk outside

they may approach you regarding talking about a dealer etc - have a lawyer and get it in writing if you do it

If you've been charged with misdemeanors, they have 18 months to file after the offense; if felonies, three years.
