Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I was recently arrested for prescription fraud.
I was recently arrested for prescription fraud. This is my first felony. I am not a bad person, have never been in trouble before, i just had a problem. I was finger printed, photographed, and re-leased. I was told i was not going to jail because it was my first felony but if it ever happened again, i would be put away. I have called many times in the last few days to see if the case has been filed but has not yet been. I have no idea what to expect and can't afford a lawyer. I have been considering pre-paid legal to get me by. I was very compliant with the officers, gave my statement, answered all their questions but now i don't know what's going to happen. I understand that once i get my court papers i will find out what exactly my charges are, all the officers told me was that i was being arrested for 'prescription fraud'. Please give me some advice. I am very scared
