Usually a lawyer quotes a fee, hears you describe the case, and then doubles the fee.

If you are talking about a motion under R. Crim. P. 35b, it varies upon what needs to be done. $1400 for some misdemeanors up to over $10k. Time is the biggest issue. Mention that first when you talk to somone.
