Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Rescheduling Court Date...
I am scheduled to appear in court on 3/28/06 and have been unable to secure an attorney due to financial reasons. Can I have my court date rescheduled/postponed, at this time, in order to acquire counsel?

Whether you can get a continuance depends on the judge, and the charge. Is it a felony or a misdemeanor? Is it drugs, dv, or other? Is the defendant a juvenile? One thing is sure-- you will have to ask for a continuance in writing. That means by mail or personal appearance.
