What are the typical punishments involved when charged with obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest?

it depends on your prior record and the facts that surround the case -

but, if those are light or non-existent, likely probation and fine, maybe a very short jail sentence

Typically, if I remember the Rodney King case correctly, the punishment for resisting arrest is that you are beaten nearly to death.

Results may vary in Colorado, however, where resisting arrest is a Class 2 misdemeanor, which may net 90 days to a year in jail, $150 to $1000 in fines, or both -- not to mention the possible beating.

Of course, what you are charged with, and what you ultimately bargain for, plead to, or escape from are different things.
