Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
restitution
I currently am on probation for the offense and I owe $2100 in restitution to be paid in full by january. I am currently unemployed and have been looking for work for over 6 months. I am also pregnant. My question is, can they put me in jail even though I am trying? And also would they do some sort of settlement if I could come up with some of the money?

Re: restitution
no, they can't put you in jail if you've been trying to pay, but they can extend your probation.
