Restraing odrder son against mother state imposed

I was arresested at my home, police said contributing to deliquency of a minor, finally at court found out my son was accussed if commiting a burglry and was stated i was aware of this, someone in trouble gave info to police, now there is a restraining order where i can not be around my 17 yr old son. We are not quilty neither of us has a been convicted of a felony, my son has never been in jail. all of my trouble are driving related. help. also 5-2-05 i was arrested at my home, they thought i was my deceased sister, i was in jail 5 days, now with the new charges, some of my sisters stuff is still haunting me. I am listed to where i have maximum supervion thru pre trial services. i am glad they did not arrest my son but why did they come to my home to arrest me, not serve me with a summons like they did my son. all of this stems from someone eleses accusation. I qualified for a public def. but they said since my son and i are co-def. he can not qualify for a pub. def. i can not afford a lawyer, 1st i need to be around my son he is freaking out. help

If both you and your son are indigent, the Public Defender can represent one of you and Alternate defense counsel can be appointed to represent the other. A conflict of interest may prevent the court from appointing a public defender, but that conflict does not relieve the court of the duty to appoint counsel at all.
