Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Restraining Order
My fiancee was convicted of violating a restraining order, it went to appeal and was upheld. He served 2 years probation, wore a gps unit and also was required to serve 60 days of jail. He requested to have his sentenced revisited and heard and the judge upheld the sentence and reduced the probation to one year, but he has already done 2. He is ordered to serve 60 days, work release in a month. Is there any way that we can talk to someone about this. We have a family and commitments and this is a huge burden, but I don't know where to go from here. We had an idiot attorney, who failed to even speak on his behalf. Any ideas would be appreciated. We will be looking for a new attorney, but we want to try to stop the jail time.
Thank you

Re: Restraining Order
You can always ask the Judge to reconsider the sentence if it is within 120 days. You may wish to withdraw the plea but that is very difficult.
